Barack Obama promised he would take China "to the mat" over its unfair trade practices. But every time he's had a chance to stop them from cheating, he's refused.
His latest excuse? He doesn't want to "embarrass" China.
As president, I will protect American workers -- instead of China's pride.
From day one, I will crack down on nations like China when they cheat. I will not allow any nation to consistently steal our intellectual property and manipulate their currency in a way that kills American jobs.
We cannot afford to waste any more time -- let alone four more years -- or lose any more jobs while twenty-three million Americans are struggling for work, and nearly one in six Americans is living in poverty.
This election is a choice between two very different visions for our nation's future -- and that choice was on full display during the first debate.
Barack Obama doesn't have a record to run on or a plan for the future -- nor does he have the will to stand up to cheaters like China.
Where he has failed to lead, I will act.
Allowing America to be treated like a doormat while we've lost over half a million manufacturing jobs -- that's embarrassing. We can't allow that to continue.
Let's get back to the business of protecting America's best interests.
