Barack and Michelle and Bill and Bernardine: The Obama/Weather Underground compendium

Academia "hearts" the Weather Underground: Kathy Boudin at Columbia and NYU

Last week, I reminded you about the bloody history of convicted Weather Underground terrorists Kathy Boudin and David Gilbert, whom left-wing bleeding heart director Robert Redford pays homage to in his new fictional movie “The Company You Keep.”

Boudin’s son, Chesa, was raised by America-bashing and flag-trashing Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn. As I told you, he won a prestigious Rhodes Scholarship, graduated from Yale, and is now a Yale Law School fellow.

Mama Boudin was paroled in 2003, and now the NYPost reports that she is teaching at Columbia (h/t JWF):
Former Weather Underground radical Kathy Boudin — who spent 22 years in prison for an armored-car robbery that killed two cops and a Brinks guard — now holds a prestigious adjunct professorship at Columbia University’s School of Social Work, The Post has learned.
Boudin, 69, this year won another academic laurel — being named the Sheinberg Scholar-in-Residence at NYU Law School, where last month she gave a lecture on “the politics of parole and re-entry.”
Boudin’s bounce-back into respectability after her 2003 parole comes to light a week before the release of Robert Redford’s movie “The Company You Keep,” loosely based on the $1.6 million heist.
This is the company academia keeps.

Let the buyers beware.

Reminder:

The O’Grady-Brown Memorial Scholarship Fund honors the memory of the fallen Nyack PD officers killed in the Weather Underground Brink’s heist by supporting students pursuing careers in law enforcement. More information at http://www.ogradybrown.com/index.html
